22 Nov 2018 Sorbonne Université, Campus Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris (France)

Presentation

The aim of the workshop is to gather people working in the field of mathematical and neurophysiological modelling of human brain, from a theoretical and applied point of view, with particular emphasis on imaging methods based on visual perception. From a modelling point of view, particular focus will be given to the framework and the mathematical tools classically used to derive and analyse these models such as functional lifting, PDEs, geometric control theory etc. On the side of applications, several examples confirming the effectiveness of these models on several imaging problems, such as inpainting, pattern recognition, shape denoising etc. will be given.

The meeting will be held on November 22 2018, at:

Institut de mathématiques de Jussieu - Paris Rive Gauche (IMJ-PRG)
Sorbonne Université, Campus Pierre et Marie Curie
4 place Jussieu 75005 Paris
room 15-16-413

This meeting is jointly organised with the meeting “Colour geometry and representation” which will be held in the same room on November 21 2018, due to the similarity of the topics.

The organisers acknowledge the financial support provided by the INS2I-CNRS JCJC project "Lifting approaches for cortical inspired methods in imaging".
